Searchable database for HDD's in MacOS

Wondering if anyone out there knows of an app that is searchable database which index's HDD's in MacOS? I'm a small user. I keep the last 8 drives online but have about 30 unmounted in my archive now, and that number is growing quickly. I'd much rather search through an app when looking through the archived material. Any solutions appreciated.

VVV (Virtual Volumes View) might still be around (open source). Other than the description suggests, it can handle HDDs too.

Test it carefully, though, it hasn't been updated in a while.

Thanks Uli. Iomega had one too and it worked really well, just that was 20 years ago. Hoping to find something that is kept up to current OS.
