How to export PNG sequence with skipping frames.

PostThu Mar 23, 2023 8:23 pm

Let's say I have a 30fps footage and I want to export a PNG sequence but with half of the frames so my final result will be 15 frames. How I can achieve that inside Resolve?

I know how to export a PNG sequence using the saver node in Fusion but no how to make it skip one frame.

Any ideas?

I'm afraid you can't. But it would be a nice feature.

If TIFF is OK for you, you can. And there are dozens of apps to batch convert stills, if it must be PNG.

Just speed your clip up in the timeline to the desired ratio, like 200% in your case, and export a TIFF sequence. Set retiming to Nearest, just to be sure, even if it should be needed only for ratios other than full numbers.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
