Can't see video on some frames of timeline or any monitors

I had to import an old project from an saved database backup. It seemed to go well but as I got into the footage I realized that some of the timelines didn't show all the footage in the thumbnail. It showed some of them. On some timelines it showed all of them. When the clip didn't show in the thumbnail it didn't show anywhere including both the program or source monitors. I've triple checked that the footage is linked properly. Not sure what else to do. Any help appreciated.

Probably should not have asked this before midnight.

Has anyone ever had this happen? Some clips on a timeline are just black. Some seem fine. The ones that are black don't work anywhere. Have triple checked the linking. When I re-import them into a new timeline, they're fine.

I'm hoping to save 6 days worth of color work.

If anyone has any thoughts I'd appreciate the reply.

Make a copy of the project, then in the copy, try deleting the clips from the Media Pool and re-adding them.

BINGO!!! So, can you tell me what happened?

My guess would be that the media paths changed at some point.
