View 100% clip in color page preview?

PostThu Mar 30, 2023 6:22 pm

When I am on the color page and my timeline has a couple of small PIP clips over a background video, how do I preview an individual (scaled down) PIP clip at 100% in the viewer so I can color grade each PIP clip while looking at the full size clip? I can't seem to find an option for that.

The only way I know is to do the Color on that clip before you scale it down.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I did find an option to show the original clip alongside the color corrected clip in the veiwer by selecting 'Version and original' in the top righthand corner of the viewer. This show the original clip next to the corrected clip and both are the whole (uncropped / unscaled) clips. So that helps.

Also I was actually running into this with 'collaged' images. As Jim suggested I can just turn of the collage (or any other transform) in the timeline, color correct the video an turn the effect back on after I'm done. Thanks Jim.
