Netflix requirements for Dailies / HDE files

PostFri Mar 31, 2023 9:53 pm

I'm facing troubles to export dailies that match Netflix's requirements.

Have my source ARRI Raw HDE compressed files + external sound. Several different sound tracks.
Initially I had been exporting dailies with "Channels - Same as source" but these had been rejected by the PIX platform for dailies, as it only accepts files with stereo or mix mono tracks.

I cannot find the way to go around this issue smoothly. Have tried to export "Channels - 2" but I would get the camera sound instead. Tried to pick up the Boom mix and the WL mix tracks (from the external sound), move them to Channel 1 and delete the rest of the sound tracks. It apparently worked but when opening the exported dailies on Media Info I realise the deleted tracks are still listed, and my FPS have gone from 24 to 46.875.

Very confusing stuff.

Anyone out there who's familiar with HDE compressed files and Netflix workflows on Davinci Resolve?
