Auto Multicam Angle Marker Script

PostTue Apr 25, 2023 9:27 pm

Since DaVinci Resolve doesn't have the ability to filter for multicam angles on the Color page, I've created a script as a bit of a hacky workaround. I like to group my multicam angles so I can take advantage of the pre, post, and clip level color grading functionality, which is something that just grading the source clip within the multicam clip doesn't provide.

Basically this marks all multicam clips in your timeline with a unique marker color based on the active multicam angle. Then you can use the marker filter on the color page to filter for your multicam angles.

It uses up marker colors from last to first (so Cream to Blue) and won't use any marker color that's already on a clip in your timeline.

I've used it a bunch in a lot of my work, but I'm completely self-taught at coding so use at your own risk! If anyone finds any issues, or would like to improve on it, please let me know!

Also, if you find this useful, please add your voice to the feature request to make this a built-in feature:
