[Solved] Paste any track, it paste on the wrong one

PostSat May 20, 2023 7:40 pm

DaVinci 18.1.4

I imported titles on a time line. I copy the entire block of titles (wich all of them are in only 1 track) and I wanted to paste them into another time line

Each time I set CTRL+V, it pastes always to Video track 1 instead of the 5.

Importante:
I did selected the track 5 (so the V5 is surrounded by a red rectangle) but each time I paste it (CTRL+V or right click and PAste) DaVinci copies them on track V1

is there any way to impose to paste on the selected track?

For paste targeting you need to use Auto Track Selector.

But this is active

EDIT: I deactivated it on all tracks (it's active by default) leaving active only the one of the wanted track and it worked

Exactly. By default, paste operations will always target the track (number) the original item was copied from. If you want to target a different track then you use the Auto Track Selector switches ... the paste operation will paste to the first available track (starting at V1/A1) that has the Auto Track Selector switch enabled.
