I think what he's asking for is to be able to control the easing of a transition that, for example, animates both the position and zoom at the same time, as you might with a Ken Burns effect. If he eases only one, the edge of the frame peeps into view. He wants to be able to select both the zoom and the position keyframes and ease them both in a way that avoids the edge coming into view.
You can do this sort of thing more easily in Fusion, I suspect. The keyframing controls in the Edit page are pretty rudimentary by comparison.
