Davinci audio is glitchy, and audio of other apps are cut

PostMon May 29, 2023 7:30 am

I use Windows 11 and Davinci 18.1.4

When I open Davinci, the audios of other apps (Firefox Youtube, VLC) gets cut off. When I skip to a different part of a video, the sound plays for less than a second, then cuts again.

Davinci plays most of the sound, but its very choppy. Below is a video of what happens.

Here is the Audio I/O settings

Please help me, I've been stumped on this for almost a day. Thanks in advance!

What speed does it play on the color page?

I noticed the level of that clip is very high, in the red, so you should adjust that too so you can hear the clip without clipping.

Something I think I should mention is that I use FL Studio Asio for a different software, and the ASIO would have an error that says something like "couldnt initiate rendering in sharing mode!" I don't use asio for davinci though.

I solved the problem, I reinstalled the driver from the laptop manufacturer's website. It didn't work the first time, but miraculously worked the second time.
