Render a already vertical Video, vertical for social media

PostTue May 30, 2023 4:53 am

I recorded a vertical Video with my smartphone. Now, all I want to do is to render a 2160 x 3840 Video in my Davinci Studio for upright view.
I already select in the timeline options "vertical view" in davinci studio 18.1 but guess what? Now I have bars up and down. It is not vertical at all.

When I search for rendering vertical or upright video render settings, how on earth almost all tutorials I watched are showing how to make a video vertical, which is NOT what I want! I want to render my Video simple as it is "Vertical" to watch it on a Smartphone like all this millions of Tic Toc and Instagram Videos.

Is there are simple and functional tutorial out there?

timeline resolutions above 2160px height are studio only

Can you in the project setting setup the timeline a 2160x3840 manually?

Thank you,

No, as I wrote I use the Studio version.

The solution is, as seen in this Tutorial to open the Timeline Settings and uncheck "use project settings" and then enable "use vertical resolution"
I enabled "use vertical resolution" in the render settings too.
Now it is working.

Search in Google:

"how to export vertical smartphone davinci"

You will find a Tutorial.
As this is a Short, jump manually to second 0.35
