Can't download DaVinci or delete old one

I have previously downloaded and used DaVinci 18 to produce videos. I tried opening it and I received an error message that the .exe cannot be located. I searched in all the normal ways, including my trash can.

A Goggle search advised me to download the program again. I received a message to insert the CD installation disk. I have none because I downloaded it from the internet. Another Goggle search said to delete DaVinci and start over. Again, I get message to insert CD. Again, I don’t have one since I downloaded the free version online.

Now, I can’t download DaVinci, delete what files are there, and I have video footage to edit.

The puzzling thing, is I used DaVinci about a month ago to edit a video.

First, let's get the terminology straight so everyone is on the same page. From the Black Magic site one would "download" the installation file. On Windows that would then be run to "install" the program itself. (As asked, what operating system, as the process differs slightly.) To remove the program it should be "uninstalled" (again, in Windows) and not "deleted". When the words download and install, or delete and uninstall are used interchangeably, everyone gets confused what the user is actually doing.

Sorry. When copied the information from my system file, I could have sworn Windows 11 was included.

Windows 11, version 22H2. All updates installed, and no new ones as of 6/2/23.

I don’t recall which site I downloaded from, as I believe I followed a link within an article recommending DaVinci for video editing. It was version 18.

What is puzzling is I used the program for several videos and then the .exe file disappeared. There was an icon, but it was white and when clicked on stated the could not be found.
