I would like to experiment with DR Studio on Linux. Which distro you find is better for Resolve, Rocky Linux or CentOS, and why, please? If that is relevant I’m an Nvidia 2080 Super user.

I would recommend you use our Rocky 8.6 ISO. Link to the ISO is in the Linux Installation Instructions PDF that is part of the Resolve 18.5 Linux download.

This is the current link:

https://downloads.blackmagicdesign.com/ ... ux_8.6.iso

Be aware that if you use the Auto install option, it will utilize all the storage it sees. So don't have any storage connected to the system except the desired boot drive. Else it will format and make a single volume out of whatever it sees.

This ISO will work from a DVD or a USB Stick. If you want to put it on a USB stick, we recommend using the Fedora Media Writer app.

This ISO will install Rocky Linux 8.6, along with a current NVIDIA driver, the current BMD Desktop Video package including Media Express and the PostgreSQL 13.5 server.

It does not include the Resolve installer. It's assumed you'll download the current version from the BMD Support page. This also keeps the ISO small enough to fit on a DVD.

Thank you Dwaine for the info and the warning :) Yeah, not knowing that it would've been very bad day to find my Windows data volumes gone.
