Thumbnail Refresh when switch timelines ARG!

PostFri Jun 02, 2023 6:55 pm

Hello,

The way I work, I switch back and forth between a timeline of selects and my working timeline A LOT. I use the LightBox mode on the color page to quickly look at all the shots I have available in the selects timeline so I can jump in to the clip, switch back to edit page, copy it, switch to working timeline, and then paste in. And EVERY TIME I switch timelines, LightBox has to redraw every single thumbnail in the timeline, even if none of them have been affected, or have grades at all for that matter. So, I lost time every time I go to simply find a clip in the timeline.

My question is, why the F aren't these thumbnails cached? Doesn't that seem like a super obvious and simple thing to have be the case?

CAN it be the case? I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling frustrated by this.

Thanks
Macar

I'm not seeing that here in Studio 18.5b3 for Windows 10. The thumbnails remain draw as I switch pages.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
