White out frame when using super scale

PostWed Jun 07, 2023 1:07 pm

I've edited few short clips on the Studio 18.5 beta3, and tried to use super scale (2x enhanced).
Then one frame almost white out (not perfectly white) on two different footages.
Is it known issue? (if so, what's the solution?)

I'm using M1 Macbook Pro (OS 13.3.1), and new to the DaVinci Resolve Studio
so I don't know if the same problem occurs in the previous version/different parameters.

P.S. I think I've previewed that frame when editing, then white out.
I suspected any kind of preview cache remains, and exported the project
then imported as the different project, but the result of rendering was the same.

thanks,
taroh

It works fine here under Monterey, didn't see such a white frame yet.
What happens with regular SuperScale? And how much RAM do you have?
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

The same (white out, over-exposed frames) happened here when using superscale, (particularly) with tracking. It drops over exposed frames here and there.

I was having the exact same white frame issue when using super scaling + tracking. I did manage to fix it by using render in place type Apple ProRes 422 LT but your results may vary.

System:
Apple Macbook Pro M2 MAX 32GB
Sonoma 14.2.1
DR 18.6.4 Build 6
