So I recorded some test clips on the new Lumix S5 iix in Braw via BM video assist 12g to SSD. When I plug the SSD I recorded the clips to, Braw player recognizes everything on the SSD, but DaVinic Resolve (v18.1.4) Does not. Searched the forms but saw nothing regarding this. Is there a update coming down the line that I just that will allow Resolve to read these files? I am not sure what I am missing.
Thanks for testing it out for me folks. I'm slow and noob so sorry if this is was a dumb question.
A final question, if I update to the 18.5b3 but and have a project from 18.1.4 is that going to mess with the with old file in any way? Also, when the stable version of the current beta comes out are projects in the beta going to be useable in the new version? Sorry if this is the new dumbest question you've ever heard.
If you decide to upgrade, SOP is to backup all your Libraries/Databases, and export .drp's of your active/important projects.
Keep two copies of those backups, ideally at least one of them NOT on the computer. An external drive, thumb drive, Dropbox, One Drive, etc. are all workable choices.
After you upgrade a Library and its projects, you can't open them in older versions, so those backups are a lifeline of sorts.
No work will be lost after the upgrade. From 18 to Beta or from Beta to Stable.
My Biases:
You NEED training. You NEED a desktop. You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
