So I've got a bunch of interviews. I use a timeline to pull the selects into timelines for each subject. From those timelines I populate bins for each section of the program. When building the edit from the bins I can play in-out and it's fine but whenever I stop playback with either K or spacebar the playhead jumps to a fixed point in the source media.
What determines this point? I thought it might be where I left the playhead on the selects timeline but that's not it. Doesn't really matter where it is though. I just need K to stop the playhead where it is. Any suggestions? Is there a checkbox I'm missing?

Is the Go To Last Position option turned on?
No, but that seems to be what it's doing. If I drag the playhead anywhere in the clip, that point becomes the origin. If invoke play in-out the playhead moves to selection. As soon as I hit K/Spacebar the playhead returns to whatever point I last manually touched on the clip. I'd consider it a bug unless there's some underlying logic I don't follow.
