Replace PNG with another PNG

How can I replace a PNG with another PNG in the Edit timeline while still keeping edit points intact?

I searched for this and found many resources that cover how to do this with video clips but found none on how to do this with still images.

Save the new PNG with a new name on the hard drive.

From the bin, right click and perform a Replace operation.
