DR free or Studio? Check the codec with MediaInfo (free).
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

I didn't have any problem importing D-Cinelike footage from the Mini 3 Pro into Resolve, but I have the Studio version of Resolve and that may be necessary for the 10-bit footage.

I wasn't able to extract any more from the D-Cinelike footage than from the regular 8-bit footage, so I've basically given up on it and am now just shooting in 8-bit mode with the normal tone curve.

So, you'll need Studio or to transcode the footage.

It's well worth the price, IMHO. Much more economical than the Mini 3 Pro and will likely last longer...

D-Cinelike is Rec709 with lifted shadows. There is no CST for it. You will find various people touting normalization LUTs for it, but I have not found any I like the look of.

This is very different to D-Log that the more expensive drones shoot.

Resolve Free on Windows doesn't support 10 bit h.264/5. You have 4 options;

Buy a $300 studio key.

Use a Mac

Buy a $1 HEVC codec from the MS store (mixed reports of success)

Transcode it all to DNxHR HQX with Shutter Encoder (free)

Lifted shadows and slightly less saturation. Easy to grade, but minimal advantage over standard look.

That might let you play the video outside of Resolve but doesn't Resolve free now water mark 10bit?

They don’t, and that’s the problem: you never know what’s wrong.
C’mon, for one $ it’s worth a try.

I have it from when Microsoft gave it away for free. It's grandfathered onto my Microsoft account on all my machines. But I know in the past it didn't help with Resolve.

Sold my dji fpv to get something to shoot raw video with. Didn't need much more than the mini 3 pro. On resolve 18 free, and sadly find that I can't use the D-Cinelike mini 3 video on the free Resolve 18.
Did download and install Shutter Encoder, as ZRGARDNE has suggested. Thanks OP posting this thread. When I started searching to find out what the issue was, not many searches were of any use, except this one.

Ok, thank you so much again. Will vote for the issue. But, after all, I'm very grateful for the free use of this program. Thanks again for the link to encoder. Very easy to figure it out, and it does alot more than I could imagine, or need. Just hobbyist use for me.
