using Davinci Resolve 17.4

i am making an animation. the frames are exported from photoshop and then in davinci timeline i cut them and arrange them, practically its just a slideshow of images.

when around 200 images in i decided to make changes in the frames so i deleted everything after 155 from the timeline, media pool, and the folder itself.

made new frames and exported them starting from 156.png so everything is in order.

now when i drag the new png in the timeline it shows up as the deleted png with the same name.

HOW DO I FORCE DAVINCI TO READ THE NEW FILES INSTEAD OF THE DELETED ONES WITH THE SAME NAME?

its especially annoying because this happens even if i start a new project and import the new pngs the old deleted ones show up in timeline.

The best method is to change the name.

Sorry, but that's just how things work best with Resolve. New versions should always get new names.

Hey, just delete the ones that you want to reimport(you don't need to delete them from the timeline, the new files will go in their place when you import again). close Davinci Resolve completely and open again. import again and done.

It seems like Davinci Resolve put those files in the cache or something so it shows the ones that are in the cache.
