Hello dear community, I am relatively new to the Davinci Resolve universe but not inexperienced in the IT field. I am using the current Studio version 18.6.4 on a latest MacBook Pro with M3 Max and I have a reproducible audio problem. When I scroll through the timeline and audio scrubbing is active, the sound stutters at the start of playback for a few seconds. The video is smooth. If I deactivate audio scrubbing, I can jump to any point and the playback is immediately smooth. This behavior is independent of the audio material. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Can you provide details as to source media and Timeline resolution?

Is this behaviour on the Edit or Fairlight Timeline? Presumably there is not a Decklink card installed?

Its a Mp3 File, 44100Hz, 2 channel Audio. I tried different types it happens with every file.
The Timeline Resolution ist FHD, shifting up/down or using proxies does not impact the stuttering issue.

It only shows up on the cut & edit page. There ist no Decklink card installed. Hardware is the MBP 14, M3MAX with 128GB of RAM.

It sounds like Davinci is struggling to sync audio- / videoframes...

Any change converting the source media to LPCM? Does a rate change to 48k improve behaviour?

Seems like a first hint. After converting the files to WAV, the issues is gone. Works flawless.

Any ideas?

I'm experiencing the same issue, stuttering audio for first few seconds after scrubbing and I am on a Windows Laptop.

Neither mp3 nor 44.1 kHz are good for video. At least, not for a professional NLE.

I am facing the same exact problem on both my machines. I upgraded to Studio on my PC and Mac, but it only fixed the lagginess on the PC and not my Mac.
