Hi
Today, out of the blue, when I try to edit in the cut page using the speed editor everytime I use the trim in and trim out function with the jog wheel gaps will form between clips. Up to yesterday when using thise functions the gaps were automatically removed (as it is supposed to be).
Is there a setting in the preferences to check? I could't find it...
Thanks

Click on the Ripple icon to highlight it. Ripple should now work.

Yes, works indeed - thanks for the tip.
But I still find this strange. Now the 'delete selected' and 'ripple delete' functions both perform a ripple delete when 'ripple on' is active. With ripple off they both perform the regular delete (selected) function.
With 'ripple on' not active, the 'trim start' and 'start to playhead' functions (shirt [ and ctrl + shift [) work in the standard way (one leaving a gap, the second performing a ripple).
But when 'ripple on' is active, they both perform the ripple function.
I find this strange. Why does the delete function perform different from the trim function ? and why would you have this behave different in the cut and edit page.
The manual calls the 'ripple on' a way to "disable automatic rippling" but then, this works different for delete and trim and it disables even the explicit ripple delete command.
There may be a logical reason for this, but as long as BlackMagic Design does not explain this, this seems very strange to me.
Cheers,
Rob
