Text+ changes sizes when cut?! no other parameters change

hey
So i have a text+ that i have saved in my Power bin, i import it in new project, works no problem
however, when i cut it, the new one has different dimensions
makes it annoying if im doing subtitles, i have to delete smaller one (original) and edit the cut (new size) since thats what stays the same..

any ideas? (gif below)

Don't Cut it. Trim it. (And only from the right side.)

i mean its faster to cut for me, editing...
but it shouldnt matter to do that tho no?

I think it might for a Fusion clip with keyframes.
