Track Height switching as in FCP7 shift T

PostTue Mar 26, 2024 2:04 pm

Dear Davinci support and developers

Would it be possible to have a function as mentioned in the subject above. Shift T...this was a simple cycle in Final Cut Pro 7, to cycle trough track heights in the timeline, e.g. if a number of tracks (audio and video) were different heights, the editor (me) could quickly reset them all using shift T. I have tried customising the keyboard in Resolve but can't get a similar function. Maybe I am doing it wrong, but if someone could suggest a working solution that would be great, attachment added.

Hey

I don't have any single idea but I still write to tell I'm kind of happy to see the good old FCP7 screeshot I hadn't seen for years now :)
(and sorry for having no answer but I don't think it exists anyway, just as a whole bunch of very handy functions FCP7 had...)

In the Keyboard Customization window, you can map All Commands >> Edit Timeline >> Timeline View Options >> Increase / Decrease All Audio / Video Track Heights.

Shift + Scroll Wheel might also be useful to you.

If Andy's post doesn't satisfy, there is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
