problem with displaying files on samsung t5 external drive

PostWed Mar 27, 2024 1:36 pm

Good day everyone,
After rendering in davinci can not see the files on the external disk, from which I work. I have to close Davinci, reconnect the disk and everything appears.
It also happens when I throw on the disk files for editing, music, for example, and in the media tab they are not displayed, even if refresh to do. again, restarting everything helps.

Has anyone encountered this?

external disk samsung T5 1gb
Macbook pro m1 pro, Venture
davinci resolve 18.6.2

Ventura (and Sonoma even more so) are very restrictive. Yo have to give DR full access rights to every storage device you add. Did you?
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

What kind of permissions do I have to give? In which tabs?

Okay the only solution i found on reddit, you need to format your drive on APFS (apple format). Because your SSD is on ExFAT. You're gonna lose the compatibility with windows but the files work correctly now. No need to disconnet your drive anymore.

Actually, exFAT is not recommended.
You can use the tools from Paragon to read APFS under Windows if needed.
