Crashing when moving clips

PostWed Mar 27, 2024 5:40 pm

Info:
Windows 11 (build 22631)
GPU: AMD 6950 XT
CPU: i5-13600K
Ram: 32mb
Resolve Studio: 18.6.6 Build 7
Footage: SLOG3 cine
Logs: https://www. dropbox.com/scl/fo/fa3ux5keo8a6xn5j9fj6d/h?rlkey=213of20y7hm95kuiuig3p59ma&dl=0

Resolve Crashes when I try and move, or playback clip in any section. Problem footage is typically shot at 60fps or 120fps on a 24 or 30fps timeline.

I have tried various AMD Drivers, older, most recent, and AMD pro(not being picked up in Resolve). I have also tried reinstalling Resolve Studio, and even did a clean install of Windows 11.

Under Preferences, I have GPU processing to set OpenCL, and GPU selection as my 6960XT. I have tried setting my playback proxy to half and quarter, I have cleared the cache and tried the render caches as well.

For Decode options I have AMD selected for decoding H.264/H.265.

Been trying to research this for awhile but can't find a solution. Looking for help.

How is your retiming process set?
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Thanks for the response!

My Frame Interpolation is:
Retime process: Nearest
Motion Estimation mode: Standard Faster
Motion Range: Medium

I use slow motion by changing clip attributes to match the timeline frame rate:

recorded in 60fps > Clip attributes > video Framerate: (24) timeline Frame rate, Use Drop frame: Checked.

Wasn't sure what you were specially were asking, hope I answered it!

Yes, I was assuming a possibly too demanding process, but Nearest is no problem at all.
I have no explanation then, never seen this.
