New micro panel manual

PostSat Apr 13, 2024 9:26 pm

I wonder if there is a manual going into detail of all features in the new micro panel?

Looks amazing and cleverly thought out.

While we wait for the complete manual, does the new Micro Panel control the HDR palette in the Color page?
Both the 6 zones and the global controls?
It isn't clear in the Quick Start Guide...

I use Parade display with Primary Sliders because they parallel each other.

With balls and rings, can the Parade display still be used? If not, what display mode should be used?

Thankfully the Quick Start Guide confirms that the product tech specs page is incorrect when it says it's compatible with macOS only (Windows isn't listed under Operating Systems).

Hi,
Are the 2 displays on the mini panel worth the money in regards to the new micro panel?

This is the crux for me as well, I work mostly in the HDR palette but really need to carry the panel from site to site...so the Mini panel is less than optimal.

Interested in this myself. Far less useful to me if it doesn't.

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I was surprised when I saw the new Micro Panel at NAB, because I had low expections: while the rings and trackballs are smaller, they have a good feel to them, and they clearly paid a lot of attention to all the little design elements. If they had charged $995 for it, I would've said it was a decent value -- for $495, it's an incredible bargain. It's also very flat, which might fit better on certain kinds of desks and tabletops (especially on location), so I bet it'll be a great tool for people working on location, like DIT's.

Ordered from Teltec and they indicate May 31. However I‘m pretty sure they don’t know exact the dates for stocking-in.
