playback issues

I've bumped into a playback frame rate discrepancy between the fusion page and the edit page in
resolve 18.6.6. . I have a simple composite that only plays back at three frames in fusion and yet when I switch to the edit page it plays back at 24 frames at full rate. I'm using only affects from resolve on a M1 Mac studio max with 64 gigs of memory and the most recent operating system. I've bumped into this quite often.

Caching?

On my underpowered laptop I see the same sort of behaviour with the colour and edit page. My assumption was on the colour page it's working on the full image resolution. On the edit page it's whatever the viewer is set to. In other words the edit page has less work to do.

The resolution of the source footage and the timeline are exactly the same on the edit page and the fusion page.

Caching?

Good thought, but the caches for both are on.
