How to use "Cut" key on Speed Editor?

PostWed Apr 17, 2024 3:15 pm

I have Resolve Studio + Speed Editor since a fer years.

Throw the different Resolve Studio versions (17-18-19b), the Cut key on the Speed editor has never worked for me. Neither in the Cut page nor in the Edit page. It does nothing. I always have to use the "Cut" shortcut via the keyboard.

Is this a feature or a bug?

So it's a little bit pointless to have one hand on the Speed Editor and one hand on the keyboard.

Wouldn't it be possible to add a real cut (Clip Split) after pressing that key on Speed Editor twice?

Those two (different) functions are already both on the Speed Editor.

No need, the (single) function you want is already on the Speed Editor, it's marked as 'SPLIT' ... it's a single key press, you're just pressing the wrong key.

SPLIT key works on both Cut page and Edit page. But on the Cut page can also be used to undo a cut in a clip even if that cut was made on the Edit page.
