No sound when playing video clips with mono channel

PostWed Apr 17, 2024 5:13 pm

Hi,

I'm having issues getting audio to play from certain video clips. Here's the properties of one of the files I am trying to play:

Audio:
Bit Rate: 54kbps
Channels: 1 (mono)
Audio sample rate: 22.050kHz

The clip audio does work fine when I convert it using Handbrake but is there any way for me to not need to do that every time?

Using Davinci Resolve Studio 18.6

Any help is appreciated thanks!!

Convert the source media to use a sample rate of 44.1k or 48k.

Can that be done within Davinci Resolve itself or are you talking about doing it through an external software?

Asking since I have a lot of clips that have this problem and wanted to see if there was a different solution other than having to convert all the clips

Resolve will not sample rate convert or play a 22.050Khz audio file. You will need to use either Shutter Encoder or Handbrake, both of which are free to download and use.
Resolve Studio 19.0b1 build 20
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.
