I am a marketing professor at a small university and I received permission to install Davinci Resolve on my laptop. After downloading it, getting the admin to enter credentials, and installing, I can't find anything but Control Panel, Blackmagic Raw Player, SpeedTest, and Fairlight Studio. WHen I open control panel, all it says is "No Control Panels Found and to make sure their connected. I have no idea what I am doing wrong here.

I am trying to make videos of lectures and trying to teach my students different software. Please help me.

Do you have a control panel? If not you should have unticked the control panel check box when you installed your software. Easy mistake to make. Maybe un install davinci and start over again. If you are not using braw maybe uncheck that as well.

Assuming you are using Windows you can uninstall the Resolve Control Panels in Control Panel/Programs and Features.

If you don't have a desktop icon for Resolve, it should appear in the Blackmagic folder of the Start menu.

If you are installing Resolve on Windows, and you are not the Admin USER, then Resolve will not appear.

In File Explorer, you'll need to go to the C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve folder and right click the Resolve.exe file (you may not see the .exe extension if your File Explorer options at set to hide known extensions, which they probably are) and make a shortcut, and use that to launch Resolve.
