Image size compatibility

PostThu Apr 25, 2024 6:47 pm

I'm using a SONY pmw ex1r and set the format to HQ 1440P x 1080 and 29.97. I've downloaded the files onto the computer and am trying to set up the project. When I previewed the files on Media player they fill the frame and play normally. However, when I start a new project and import them into Resolve 18.5 I get a "message Selected clips have different frame rates. Would you like to change the timeline rates to match.?" I've selected both yes and no. Either way What happens and it's probably not a frame rate issue, but the image is distorted and condensed. I can't find a setting in project settings that will show a non-distorted image,...that will play a 1440x1080 frame. Suggestions? I'm in a real bind and am willing to pay for a fast assistance
Thank you

Select the clips in the bin, right click, choose Clip Attributes.

Change the Pixel Aspect Ratio to 1.33.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
