Resolve Studio 19 Download only gives me Non-Studio version

I am having an issue that I can not see to find anyone else having when I search for the problem. Downloading Resolve Studio 19 for Windows from the support page gives me a zip file that says "DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_19.0b1_Windows," But when I unzip it says "Install Resolve 19.0b" for the installer and only installs the free version....... Any ideas?

The screenshot shows that the downloaded folder is for Resolve Studio, but the installer is not for the Studio version.

This is where I am downloading from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/

Studio download is immediately below the free version,

Two things: 1) the free version is only 2GB in size, that means you did download the studio version
2) The folder is called studio and the file sizes match the studio download.

What exactly makes you think you did not download the studio version?

Correct, the download is 4.75GB and I made sure to select studio (second one down), not the top one.

When it launches, it does not say studio, and I can not use the features available in the studio, like editing XMF files or transcribing.....

XMF files are not supported(a). MFX is though.
In the top left, Davinci Resolve menu, click About. What does it say there?

(And, just to confirm, you are 100% sure you installed from the folder you showed?)
(edit: it is not possible to upgrade Davinci resolve Free to Davinci Resolve Studio bu installing the studio version, Davinci Resolve Free needs to be uninstalled first, then it is possible to install Davinci Resolve Studio)

I've just downloaded and installed latest 19 Studio beta and it asks me for license, it won't let me boot. It is Studio version.

I uninstalled Resolve altogether and re-installed it; I am now loading it into the Studio version. I am not sure what happened, but I am good to go now.

Thank you for your input and help, everyone.

Diego, if you want to use the Studio version of Resolve you need to buy an Activation Key, either direct from Blackmagic or an authorized reseller in your country.

One thing I've noticed on these downloads is there's a lot of uncertainty injected into the download and install process because of the lack of mention of "Studio" vs the numerous references to just plain DR. "Studio" is only referenced in the name of the downloaded folder. And then not until you actually launch the app.

It would be nice to have "Studio" listed in the file names in the folder contents, mentioned throughout the installation process, and mentioned during the setup process.

I'm sure some are bailing on the install thinking they're installing the free version. I know I did.

I think it's pretty obvious, myself.

Studio versions always have Studio in the title. If not, they are the free version.

I am so sick of this happening. It's always a quest to find the Studio Version and only discovering you installed the wrong one when you can't use features.

Paying attention to the file name before downloading is not a bad thing. They are clearly labelled.

They are labeled but not clearly.

The free version is called DaVinci Resolve. Only in comparison to the other download - which comes LATER - is it clear that DaVinci Resolve is probably the free version as opposed to DaVinci Resolve Studio.

If you actually read the download names it seems clear which is which to me. They are always shown on the download page with the free version ahead of Studio. ;)

Inside the both Zip file downloads (Studio and Free) the contents are labeled Davinci Resolve 19.XX. If you have installed the free version the studio version does not install over it, you need to uninstall the free version and then install the studio version. This fact is not very clear, I spent hours trying to find the Studio version before I found the words that explained that you have to uninstall the free version. Very frustrating.
