SOLVED | Cannot Generate Proxy Media after Updating to 19.4

I am not able to generate proxy media after updating to 19.4.

It just sits at 0% then will not cancel. I have to do a forced stop of DR to close it out and restart,

I generate proxy media every day with every project.

Is there any word on this?

Not sure I uploaded the Diagnostic Log correctly?

UPDATE: I've re-installed 19.3 and have the same problem.

Resolve is running in OpenCL GPU mode, because you have not updated to the required NVIDIA driver.

From the Resolve 19b4 release notes:

Installation Notes

- Please install the panels firmware update to improve idle battery consumption with the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor and Micro Color Panel.
- If you use a Nvidia graphics card, please upgrade your driver to Studio driver 546.01 (Windows) / Studio driver 550.40.07 (Linux) or newer.

Okay thanks Duane

I have the latest driver. 535 in my Driver Mgr.
Just downloaded this and will install it:
Driver Version: 555.58.02 - Release Date: Mon Jul 01, 2024

On the Speed Editor I have 1.5.2. Where do I get updates, from the Support page?

Also when I click + in the Panel Setup it shows an Add Panel popup that shows an IP Address 0.0.0.0

Do I need to add an IP there or is there supposed to be one from the Editor?

I think my Bluetooth used to work, the Panel shows up in my Bluetooth Mgr, but has not worked in a long time, have to plug it in.

We don't care about the speed editor. That's just part of the install notes.

We care about the NVIDIA driver. It has to be 550.40.07 or newer for Linux.

If you can successfully install the 555.58.02, that should work fine.

I have to learn a bit more about manually installing those drivers. I have to turn of NVidia X Server and want to get some updated instructions on that. A quick search only brought methods with issues.

I have this part:

cd /home/easydawg/Downloads
sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-555.58.02.run

but then need to turn off X Server. I'm good for now.

So . . . I just re-installed 19.3, set CUDA and my onboard DR Proxy Generator just fly's through the files.

So I have to care about the Speed Editor and still wondering where do I get updates, from the Support page?

And still have the question when I click + in the Panel Setup it shows an Add Panel popup that shows an IP Address 0.0.0.0

Do I need to add an IP there or is there supposed to be one from the Editor?

In Linux systems, we recommend the Speed Editor be used through a USB C connection. In which case the Panel setup app should be able to detect it and suggest firmware updates if one is available.

Thank you! This had me down for a couple weeks after the latest update and it appears to be working. Very much appreciated!
