Subtitle Export through deliver page - bug?
I have a class that I edited in a single timeline, but use region markers to divide into multiple files to output sections (using the region markers to set in and out points).
I selected Export Subtitles, As A Separate File, SRT and included the track Subtitle 1 (the only track of subtitles in the timeline).
The video files exported fine, but I got only one SRT file called Subtitle 1.srt which was only for the first job that was rendered - the other jobs rendered fine, but no caption file was saved out.
I tried running these jobs again and it appears that what happens is that the caption file for the first render is called Subtitle 1.srt and that Resolve tries to call each additional file Subtitle 1.srt but it fails silently because there's already a file by that name in the folder (they all go to the same destination folder).
If I pay attention as the jobs render, when each one finishes there's a Subtitle 1.srt file. If I rename that file before the next job finishes it will write a new Subtitle 1.srt file for that job.
My preferred solution would be to either allow explicitly setting a name for the subtitle file when I set up the render job, or better yet defaulting to <video file name>_Subtitle 1.srt so then they could just render separate files and it's clear what subtitle file goes with what video.
Unfortunately the platform we're delivering too requires the subtitles as a separate SRT file and ignores any that are embedded in the video.
Thanks for looking at this!
