New scroll wheel behavior with Resolve 19.1

Hello,

The scroll wheel now affects the sliders of OFXs on the Color page.

This new feature isn't terrible but I think it should only be activated by holding a modifier key, this way you don't accidentally move sliders when trying to scroll down...

Thanks!

Actually, I think it is terrible and I'm glad this isn't the case in the render settings.
Unfortunatelly it's also on the Effects Tab in the Edit page Inspector

I find that the slider moves in huge steps as well (integer values) so it's buggy too.

It is kinda weird. The mouse seem to scroll only to extents. Basically either on or off, none or all, nothing in between.

Not very useful. :(

Yep - I saw that too but then I have an instance of a slider that goes from 0 to 100 and that walks in steps of 1 using the scroll wheel so I thought maybe the jump is for integer numbers. Maybe not, though. It's wrong behaviour, regardless.

oh man, also would love this toggle able...... kinda frustrating how sensitive it is.

+1 for the removal of this feature or move to using modifier instead. And it indeed needs much finer steps not full integers. Most DCTLs use normalized float ranges around -1.0 to 1.0 as min/max.

Yeah, Shebbe - and those just smack either extent without any fine control. And yes - I find as I use the scroll wheel to scroll down on the panel, I inadvertently scroll some slider - this happened to me almost every time I modified a CST yesterday which gave me no end of problems because I hadn't intended to modify the parameter in question. Loads of fun.

It also did this in 19.0.3 but it was much finer.. I agree we need a modifier also..

Interestingly its not consistent even in this new behaviour. Mosaic Blur OFX for example.

"Pixel Frequencies" scroll wheel behaviour is incremental while in the same plug-in "aliasing" slider goes from 0-60 mph in not three seconds. Sort to speak.

Its still possible to move the mouse left and right in the numbers field for incremental adjustments, but its a strange behaviour otherwise.

Yep. Scrolling as expected here in 19.1.1.
