Nikon NRaw Anomaly?
A few days ago as I was doing some housecleaning and reviewing/discarding a lot of test footage, I ran across a clip that I'd shot in NRaw with my Z8 back in September of this year that had a very strong Magenta cast in any thumbnail shown in DVR 19.1.12 Studio. By that I mean the video pool thumbnails, timeline thumbnails, etc., on any page. The GUI display, my clean feed through Decklink 4K mini monitor and exported footage all show a normal image. I chalked it up to a corrupted file or something, but didn't pursue the matter at the time as I rarely shoot in DX mode. I did not notice this behavior when I originally imported and viewed the clip in a timeline back in September and I don't recall what version of DVRS I was on, likely one of the 19 beta's or 19 first release as I keep current with my updates...yeah, I know, living on the edge.
Yesterday, in a post on the Digital Video section of DPReview, a user commented on the same behavior when he shot in NRaw in the 2.3x crop in DX mode at 120fps. Hmmmm...what's going on here?
So, this morning I investigated further and found the following: Shooting NRaw in any DX mode, either in High Quality or Normal mode, at any resolution or frame rate will cause the thumbnails for those clips to have the Magenta cast in Resolve. Whether shot in NLog or SDR makes no difference and I never see the issue in any FX mode or non-NRaw files. Also, whether I shoot on Z8 or a Z9, the result is the same.
I also got a reply from a Mac user (I'm on Win 11, System configuration in my signature) that he also has experienced the same issue in DVRS with clips shot in DX mode but with another program, Assimilate Play Pro Studio he's not seeing the Magenta cast problem with the same files.
Here is a screenshot showing the problem...

And a project archive that shows the issue...

If anyone that reads this is using an earlier DVRS version could check for this behavio(u)r, it would be helpful.
Cheers!
