Wiping Stills in Compound Clip broken?

I'm on Resolve 19.1 on an M3 MBP running Sequoia and work in a DaVinci YRGB color managed project.
For FX reasons I need to nest some 4K log clips inside a Compound Clip. I can open this compound clip in timeline mode, hop over to the Color Page and grade away and I can grab stills.
However when I load those stills for wiping (still having the same compund clip open in the Color Page) the still looks completely oversaturated when compared to the active clip.
The thumbnail of the still looks normal, an exported JPG looks normal and when the still is applied to a clip in the timeline it looks normal.
It only looks saturated when it's wiped and as long as I am grading "inside" the a compound clip.
So I can't use the wipe function in this case to compare shots.
Feels like a bug, no?

Does this persist even if you clear cache and restart project? Does the same thing happen if you do a test on otherwise empty project and replicate the same issue on the same clip with the same settings?

I tested what you suggested. If I import the clip in a fresh project, stash it in a compound clip, step inside it, grab the still there and wipe it - everything works as it should.
When I do the same in the original project (create a new compound clip in a new timeline) I have the over-saturation-issue.
So it seems something is broken in that project not only in the master-timeline.
Any suggestions what I could do to fix this? (I tried deleting the cache to no avail)
thanks
Florian

Perhaps a Blackmagic developer would know how to deal with such project level issue other than clearing cache of course, which you say didn't help.
The only other thing I can think of is refreshing and re-linking media. In the reference manual, available via help menu, in the Ingest and Organize Media | Chapter 18
"Relinking Media Simply" section, they go over ways how to do it if you are not familiar with it. I would try to deal with offending clip first and than see if something changes.
Try to right click on the clip that is causing an issue, from media pool, and choose Link Full resolution media... and find the clip on your timeline. It should manually reconnect and update the clip. See if that helps. Other potential methods can be found in the manual. If its still not working, maybe do what you have to to finish project even if you copy and paste it to a new one. And probably good idea to export diagnostics log and see if developers can sniff out the problem. If you still need to know. Or just keep on working.
That's all I got for now. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried relinking, but that did not change anything. I'm on a deadline with that project, so I'll finish it without wiping and look into it later. I might just export the timeline and re-import it in a clean project.

I see that this morning they released new Resolve 19.1.1. Not sure if its fixing your problem, but its worth a shot.

Tried to download it, but there is some kind of problem with downloading the Mac version of Studio. It's super slow and times out every time at around 50%.
