Hello Blackmagic team.
I've come across a scenario you might want to test as a possible bug. I've reproduced and attached a diagnostics report after a force-quit in case that helps.
I had selected a frame in a timeline and wanted to export a still frame (file-export-current frame as still)
When the mac dialog box pops up, I wanted to rename a file in the list of files in the folder I was exporting to. Mac OS lets me do this, so I can change the name. It wasn't the filename I was using for the current export.
This all works okay, and the filename is changed. At this point though, I cannot exit the dialog box by selecting either cancel or export.
I can't see any other confirmation boxes listed, both the 'cancel' and 'export' buttons are available and not greyed out, but there is no effect when I select either of them. The dialog box seems to freeze and the mac just gives an error beep.
if I click off Resolve in the finder and come back in, I get the spinning colour wheel cursor and the only option left to me is to force-quit the application and restart.
I did this and created the attached diagnostic log, in case that's caught anything. I did then get a delayed MacOS "your application encountered a problem" box asking if I wanted to report the problem to apple.
It's done this to me before, but seems to only happen when you use the OS to rename a file from within an open dialog box when saving something.
If I don't rename a file, it will save the graphic properly.
The work around is not to change filenames in an open dialog box of course, but in case you want to hunt down the reason it's hanging, here you go!
I'm running Resolve 19.1 Build 12 on a 2019 Macbook Pro using Ventura 13.7.1
