Proxy Generator confused by files with same base name

PostWed Nov 27, 2024 3:38 pm

If I have the ProxyGenerator Lite running, and add a file with the same base name, but different extension/format, the processing line just keeps switching between the two files.
This may be an operation that Resolve just wouldn't expect,
but it should report some error rather than getting stuck in a loop?
Resolve seems to be happy for me to add the two files directly to the bins and timeline.

Make those proxies in DR then.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

The free app NameChanger lets you append the date/time to the name of all your source video files - and then they all have unique names from the start of the process. Then there's no possible confusion no matter where they go in this project & future projects.
