Modify simple box title 1 to come in from the top

PostWed Nov 27, 2024 8:09 pm

Hi there - I'm using the simple box 1 title for my video, but I want to change the behaviour of it so that it comes in from the top instead of always from the left, I've fiddled around in the fusion settings, but can't seem to find the corresponding settings to adjust this (there are a lot of menu's available) Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

You need to change the Position > Offset keyframes for the text's Shading Elements ... currently the X offset for the text background and fill elements are being keyframed to move the text on and off screen, you'd want to change the X offset keyframes to Y offsets instead.

It seems that there are two modifiers that were used to animate the movement of the text along the path. So probably you will need to delete those modifiers. And instead use center control in the layout tab for animation. Any subtle movement they used for animation might not be the same, but it would be easier to animate it from scratch than try to modify their modifiers, pun intended.

Delete the modifiers and use layout tab for simple animation coming from the top.

Thanks for your comments and help - I ended up working it out in the end.

If anyone else wants to do a similar thing, then this is how you go about it, and it's actually not that complicated.

The text and grey box are controlled by two modifiers, Path2_1 and Path3_1. If you select these in the modifiers tab of the main text node, you will be able to rotate them by -90 degrees, which means they are travelling downwards. Now you will have to realign their positions using the centre tools in the same menu so that they come together to the same place. That's it - however if you are particular then you might want to play around with the timing and opacity keyframes as these will be out if you are positioning the new box in the lower parts of the frame. Once you have it adjusted you can then fine tune the position in the edit page using the general transform settings.
