Hi.
What are the minimum hardware requirements for DaVinci Resolve Studio 19.1? I updated from 18.6 and I feel it doesn't work so well. It's slow and sometimes it closes itself, it has crashes.
I'm a beginner editor and I work with 4k sources, using proxy media. Sometimes I have to use the Color Page and the Fusion Page too.

My system right now:
- Windows 10
- Intel Core i5-9400F CPU
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB VRAM)
- 16 GB RAM (DDR4)

I'm planning to update few parts of my PC. What would you suggest as a good but still budget friendly solution?

I'd say the 4GB of RAM in your GPU frightens me.

Resolve is very demanding for CPU cores, GPU power, and RAM. There's almost no such thing as "too much hardware" for Resolve. The usual answer for lag or slow speed is "more hardware is better." Fast hard drives (particularly RAIDs or SSDs) help as well. Sometimes it's not just one thing -- it's the effect of several things together that determine speed and efficiency.

Macs are very good as well, and a fully-equipped M4 Mac can do very well with 4K in most circumstances (but are arguably more costly). I don't think laptops are ideal for Resolve, but they can run up to 4K sessions provided you have fast storage and don't use a lot of OFX or noise-reduction nodes. Complex node trees can be a struggle, but you can always cache when necessary if you hit a slowdown.

What driver version are you using for the GTX 1050?
4GB of Vram is the very minimum recommended amount. My GTX 1060 has 6GB, but as I always work with HD footage and don't use Fusion it is not usually a problem. Upscaled renders can be slow, but I just walk away and let it do its thing.
Rather than putting money into odd items I would suggest you invest in a new computer with the best specs you can afford.

Fusion needs RAM, most of all, but DR is stressing the GPU. It's not the Color page by itself that's harder on the machine than the Edit page. But processes like NR or Speed Warp, for example, are very demanding on VRAM.

My choice would be to upgrade the GPU first. I think that will give you the most noticeable improvement across the board.

The 12 GB RTX 3060 is probably the best price/performance value right now.
