Unfortunately, the new Ambisonic function in the Fairlight Panel is not well documented. Here are the first test results to see whether the new function improves VR content development.

Result: The new implementation of Ambisonic for the development of content with 360° spatial sound is not yet suitable for content development for VR glasses. Only stereo can be used for delivery.

The VR glass was Oculus/Quest.

Look into reference manual for more documentation on support and set up. Available from help menu.

Fairlight | Chapter 181 Immersive Audio Workflows page: 3846

Rendering Output Files

"Ambisonic format mix output files can be rendered from the Deliver page. Ambisonic files are multichannel adaptive containers with the number of streams dictated by the Ambisonic order of your output (e.g., 1OA, 2OA, etc.). You can also render a an output file that is up- or down-mixed for your desired speaker output configuration (e.g., 7.1.4)."

You will have to try to figure it out from that or on your own. I am not using it myself. But I'm sure how-to is available if you search for it..
