Media Clips Appear Empty

PostFri Feb 07, 2025 4:17 pm

Hi all, first post here - have loved resolve for the last few years, but recently started having this problem on my Windows 11 laptop where media clips appear blank or empty.

I've seen a few posts about this, have tried without success to implement all the suggestions I've seen. Last week I uninstalled and reinstalled resolve, and I clean installed new Intel graphics drivers. FOR ONE DAY ONLY the problem was solved and I could see and use my video clips again.

But two days later, with no changes or updates, the problem returned. I'm going crazy, I need to edit a video, and I have no idea what to do. Please help, and I'll provide any details you need!

I'm using a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1335U with no mods.

Can you post a sample to a cloud?

I'm having a similar issue, never had a problem with it until the update for Davinci Resolve 19.1.3, I can provide any details needed just push me in the right direction. I will say though that I have checked the videos origin files there is no corruption the are also 8-bit and not 10 bit via checking metadata. I have also updated my GPU drivers my GPU is MSI Radeon R7 250 OC 2 GB. I have 32 GB of RAM and everything is up to date. I've tried going to older versions of davinci also and this didn't work. I'm practically out of options I've done multiple fresh installs and made sure I removed any program files even temp files using WizTree. Can someone for the love of all that is holy take me out of this problematic situation that has stretched out for 5 days of my life.

You should seriously consider upgrading your GPU, Tucker.

Second that. Your GPU is insufficient for 19.

To upgrade my GPU would require me to get a new power supply and most likely a different motherboard which is currently not possible. I figured Davinci Resolve would work do to it working just fine before. Thank you either way.

You could try an older version of DR.
