Resolve is suddenly asking for my activation key

I have been using Resolve Studio for about a year and today, I launched it and is is acking for my activation key. Even if I knew where it was, I'm sure if I entered it it would say that it is already used. I don't know if anyone has encountered this and has any suggestions.
Thank you for your help.
Cheers!
Daniel

Are you on Mac OS?
If so, update to the latest Sequoia and resolve 19.1.4

It should "just work," and we're sticking with Sonoma until somebody puts a gun to our head. Are you sure you can't locate the serial number? You can install Resolve Studio on up to 2 computers, and it should work just fine (and not say it's "already used").

You are allowed to run 2 machines on a licence. If you try to activate a 3rd machine it will activate. However, machine No1 will be de activated. Process is seemless.
Not sure if there is a procedure for replacing lost codes short of a new purchase.

machines number 1 *AND* 2 will be both de-activated if a 3rd is activated. Automatically.
So you end up with machine #3 activated and ONE available spot.

Hi
I don't know what either of these responses have to do with my issue. I have been running resolve on one computer with no problems and it suddenly asked for my activation key on the same computer I always use.
I was able to find my activation key and, as I suspected, it now says I have zero activations left.
So, to sum up, one computer, one activation key, zero activations remaining because entering it AGAIN on the same computer made Resolve think I have used the activation on two computers, which I haven't.

Marc,
I agree with you. I am not changing my operating system just to make software that was just working work again. I'm fine with Sonoma for the time being. New OS creates more headaches, not less, ever.
Also, I did find my key and after entering it, it used up my second activation (which is what I meant by awkwardly saying "already used"- I have only installed it on this one computer, ever.
Peter, Why do I have to upgrade to Sequioa? Can I just install 19.1.4 without changing my OS?

All we can say is with the latest Sequoia and Resolve 19.1.4 we are not seeing this issue.

We're running three Resolve systems under Sonoma and I've never, ever, been asked for a license key number. I think something else is going on.

I was able to find my activation key and, as I suspected, it now says I have zero activations left.
My Resolve sometimes is asking me for the activation key for no reason - I type it and then it says "no activations left" (I have DR on two machines) confirming that it "found" my PC on the list. I call that a bug. I have the key on a text file, I copy and paste it. 20 seconds.
If you have ONE computer and DR is telling you there are zero activations left being used, I'd say someone else is using your activation key. The same computer should NOT count as another one. But I don't know how DR is serialising the machine. Have you changed some HW recently?
Sequoia: developers will work with the latest OS and software. They can't possibly support older versions unless there is a good reason for doing so - that is, some HW which only works with an older version.
That is why the first advice you're getting when asking IT for help is "update to the latest version".

Peter,
I am still confused by your reply. I had no problems with Sonoma and 19.1.2 for as long as 19.1.2 has been out. Nothing on my system changed so suggesting to update my operating system and Resolve version seems odd.

This just happened again. The last time I had to reenter my activation key it activated again and said "successfully activated. No activations left." This is the only computer I have it activated on. Tonight I launched Resolve but didn't have my hard drive connected so I quit Resolve, attached the drive and relaunched and it is asking me to activate again.
This is what I get for upgrading, I guess. I never had any problems with the previous version. This is really annoying.

Hi
From what to what did you upgrade?
