Constant Error Code 700, any assistance appreciated!

Hello, reaching out here in the Forum after trying all the solutions I could google myself to.

The last month I have constantly gotten the "Error Code 700 - GPU failed to perform image processing" error no matter what content or project I'm working on. It could be a simple test project with no effects, just a handful of image sequences and after 10 seconds up to a minute or 2 I get this error and have to restart, without fail every time.

I've tried all solutions I could find such as different Davinci+Nvidia driver versions. Setting GPU and CUDA settings manually in preferences.

Yesterday I did a clean install of my PC from scratch and I still get the same error, so I'm a bit stumped at where to go next.

I've attached a diagnostic file from a simple test project with just 4-5 EXR sequences loaded in.

My specs are:
RTX 4090 24GB
AMD Ryzen 9950X
Kington Fury 125GB DDR5 RAM
Asus ProArt motherboard

If someone can deduce something from the diagnostics or have any other advice I'd appreciate it as right now I feel like I've tried everything I can so far.

Please provide a project export .drp of the Vader_teaser_v04 project. Generate that by opening the Resolve Project Manager window and right clicking the Vader_teaser_v04 and selecting Export Project...

Also provide the following:

Load a project in Resolve.

Then, in the Resolve Help menu, select "Create Diagnostics Log on Desktop"

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).

Then open the Windows System Information app and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

That is truly bizarre. I see no reason at all why that would be happening.

Especially since you've done a clean Windows install.

I can only surmise it's an issue with the RTX4090 or the driver.

Because lots of people are saying NVIDIA 57x drivers have issues, I'd suggest you first go the NVIDIA Driver Downloads site and download and install the 566.36 STUDIO driver. When you run the driver installer, select the Custom install option, then the Clean install option.

If you still have Resolve 700 GPU errors after that, I'd suggest you download and run the Furmark GPU test app:

And see how that behaves.

The only odd thing in your scenario is that you are using the free version of Resolve. But there's nothing in the project you sent that would be annoyed by that.

Thanks for taking the time to check that out. Yes it's really confusing because I use a lot of other very heavy VFX programs and they all work fine. I do have 3D mark so I can check there as well but I haven't noticed any less than expected performance in other programs I work in, or games thus far. Davinci is the only one giving me trouble.

I just want to use Davinci to cut together my renders so my use case is very basic in terms of utilizing Davincis capabilities, I'm no professional editor or anything like that so the studio version would be overkill in my scenario.

Thanks for suggesting a driver, I'll give that a go and see if I can get any further.

I keep getting this same issue, I have a RTX 3060 Laptop GPU and a i7 with 16GB of RAM. Export times on my last project was 26 minutes, trying to do the same file and export times randomly go to 1-2 Days.

Close out DR and keep restarting the computer and randomly I can get a project to export in 20-30 minutes. Latest Nvidia drivers and latest version of DR.

I feel like there is a bug in v19.

Are you using a 57x driver? If so, try the 566.36 driver.

I had no luck with the other driver - I tried a free trial of Premiere, works fine there so I guess I'm ditching Davinci for now sadly.

Well, i got this error too with DRS20 .. rtx 4080super here. What is going on with BMD lately ?
Using DaVinci Resolve Studio on Windows 11 (12700K - 64 gb ram - rtx4080s - ssd)

So far, I haven’t had any issues using version 19. I'm still running an older graphics driver (version 565.90) for my RTX 4080 Super, which was released in October last year. I don’t plan to update it, given the problems I’ve read about with the newer drivers.
Resolve studio 19.1.4, windows 11 pro, amd 9950x, rtx 4080 super, 64g memory

@Daniel: Without a Resolve diagnostics log and an NFO, it's hard to know why you are seeing the issue.

One thing that can cause that issue is if you have certain versions on the Main Concept codec package installed.
