Having troubles with exporting projects

PostTue Apr 08, 2025 3:05 am

During the beta, there have been a lot of crashes which can be expected from beta. Most of them just get resolved from when you restart the application. The issue is I have some important projects for clients that needs to be rendered out. I cannot render them because it is crashing in the beta and when I redownloaded the 19.4 version as a work around, it does not allow me to open the projects that had been converted to the new beta because it says I need a newer version to run it.

Please indicate Resolve version, operating system, and computer spec (including GPU and driver). Include this information in your signature to assist troubleshooting.

If the host crashes please include a link to diagnostic logs. Instructions to generate logs are provided in the FAQ at the top of the forum: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190#16

You didn't back up your Libraries and Projects, Frank? :o
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Projects opened in 20 are not backwards compatible. This has been the same in previous versions hence the warning in the Release Notes.

No sadly. I am relatively new to this side of DVR. I am still getting the hang of best practices to be able to save myself from corrupted files and crashes in the future but I have definitely learned from that experience. Also, people keep saying to post the logs but it is not allowing me to here because it is larger than the 1MB max that they have here

You'll have to upload them to a file sharing site and post the link.

Here it is. I do it all the time but for some reason I did not think about doing it haha. Hope this helps me and the other people that are trying to make 20 better. It is super amazing even with all the glitches and bugs that are being fleshed out.
