The video clean feed goes black when I pause playback. And when I go to dual screen mode, it becomes very very slow.

Please indicate Resolve version, operating system, and computer spec (including GPU and driver). Include this information in your signature to assist troubleshooting.

Not reproducing the described behaviour on the systems here.

Clean feed only goes black intermittently on my system. I'm running 3 monitors, two for the UI and one for Clean Feed and see no slow down. This is with a 1080p 50fps timeline. If I run a UHD timeline then I occasionally see a slight slowdown on some cuts.
This I put down to my now aging GTX 1060 and the fact that version 20 is probably more demanding of the computer in general.

On my MacBook with an external Dell monitor connected via HDMI, I see the external (video clean feed) go black occasionally, too. It may have happened on occasion in v19.1 but it happens quite frequently in v20b1.

Hi i have the same issue on 4 monitor setup wit RTX 4090 card. Black screen when I pause.
The problem exist only on edit page. On CUT or COLOR page it works fine.

Do you use adjustment layer on top of all tracks? I found when I disable this black screen appears less often.

I haven't detected a worsening of this "black output" on the clean feed problem. I have had it for years on my multi-monitor setup. 2 for GUI, 1 for Clean Feed. As I navigate the timeline and I am moving frame by frame between clips as example, the first frame of the new clip will show black on the clean feed. I have to to either back or forward 1 frame to then restore the frame as per normal.

My memory says it was around DR version 18 that this problem creeped in. I have always just dealt with it but it would be really nice to not have to fuss with this.

It's definitely much worse with v20b1 on my MacBook.

I am experiencing the black screen phenom for the first time on V20B for the first time since moving from PPro to Resolve 16.

I was having this issue with earlier betas, but no longer. What system are you running?

I still have the problem on B3 with a 4 monitor setup. I think the number of monitors running is a related factor.

I no longer see this problem in beta 3 with three monitors.

I should clarify that I have a MacBook with a single external (HDMI) monitor and prior to the fix, the external monitor was blacking-out every time I stopped the playback. Now it's fine with the latest beta 3 update.
