Can't close or shrink media pool with vertical video

Had an older project in 1920x1080, made a new timeline for 1080x1920.

In this timeline I cannot close the media pool. I can't even resize it to take up anything less than half the screen on my monitor. Really annoying not just being able to look straight up like I normally would, instead I have to reorient myself every time I change focus.

When I switch back to the 1920x1080 timeline I can close the media pool or resize it normally.

Look in preferences, user, ui settings

I second this issue. I use dual screen mode with a full screen timeline. When viewing a vertical timeline in the edit tab, the media pool is very large and the viewer is forced all the way to the outer edge of the screen with no way to resize left/right. On larger screens, this a very inconvenient layout.

Thank you, Peter, for the tip on how to disable this for now. Hopefully this can be fixed, because the feature is a great idea if it can be positioned correctly.
