"Quit Unexpectedly" on startup + can't write log to desktop

My davinci resolve 20- suddenly stopped working (I was using it this morning. Did nothing to the software, did not change settings or delete any files, and then it just wouldn't open at night). It quits every time on startup, "quits unexpectedly".

I've tried all of this and nothing worked:
- deinstalling the software, including deleting the folders inside ProgramData and AppData/Roaming
- reinstalling the latest Studio NVIDIA driver
- restarting the computer after each of the above
- reinstalling Davinci 19, or Davinci 20.

The software still quits unexpectedly. I wanted to check the logs, but even the capturelog.bat doesn't work! It says it can't write .zip to desktop.

So I can't seem to know what's causing the issue here. What else can I do??

I'm getting something similar.

I was using Resolve all of yesterday. The machine was left on overnight, so not even a reboot.

Tried starting Resolve again, but crashes after the splash screen.

Someone suggested turning off an VPNs, which I did and that worked for the first time!

but now, even with the VPN uninstalled it still won't start.

I changed nothing on the PC from yesterday to today and it didn't even reboot.

Edit for SOLUTION:

Another thread on this forum had the solution, at least for me. Copy/paste here:

If Resolve is crashing during launch, then in a File Explorer window, navigate to this folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX

Rename the Plugins folder to Plugins.tmp

This will prevent Resolve from loading 3rd party OFX plugins and will hopefully allow Resolve to launch.
