Fusion: Negative Frames on Reversed Clips

PostSat Apr 12, 2025 5:53 pm

When opening a clip with reversed speed in the Fusion page, the frame count starts from negative numbers instead of zero. This causes issues with tools like the Planar Tracker, which doesn't function correctly when negative frames are present. In some cases, it has even caused blue screens.

This only occurs with clips that have not been opened in the Fusion page before. If you open a clip in Fusion while it still has normal speed, and then reverse it afterward, the frame count starts at zero as expected and everything works correctly.

In the Project Settings, under the Fusion section, the 'Default Start Frame' parameter is set to 0.

I have the same problem, but not only with reversed clips. When transition is added at the beginning of the clip, negative frames also appear at the beginning in Fusion.
